Looking back at my first day

How time does fly...just a minute ago it was my first day at a university.I remember the day like it was yesterday, I was so scared. I had no friends or anyone I could talk to. I came three weeks late and everybody had met and made friends,everyone had a partner and I didnt:(.
I got late most of the time since i didnt hava anytime table or could I recognise someone from class. It was horrible! I cried everytime I had to go to class,its funny I know. But I'm glad its all in the past and the year is almost over. All thats left is to study just 50% more than I did the whole year and then 2 year here I come!!!

Yes I said!

Growing up can be a challenge sometimes.You dont only get a year older but more responsibilities as well.If you got to grow up with both your parents thank your Gods. A lot of us out here grew up with one of them and luckily for us they could multi-task and play both a mother and father figure in our lives :). It's never easy , life in general is NOT easy but we make it.

If you're one of us and you're hate life and everythng that comes with it,just remember life is better than all of us. You're not alone.

For the love of arts

I've always been a huge fan of anything that had something to do with arts. That being singing, drawing ,dancing , poets or drama. I used to believe that somehow arts fills a part of  you that nothing else can. As a result of that , whenever I'm happy sad or I listen to music not because of fun but because it heals me. It fullfills my inner needs,the food for my soul.

Life can never be better than us

In these couple of years i've lived i've learnt to realise that as a person you need to make the best out of all the bad situation you're in.  I know sometimes that statements may seem or sound stupid but its true. If life gives you fire make a lekker braai or if it gives you lemons then make lemonade. It's that simple.

APPRECIATE

I've lived to realise that you can naver have everything you want in life. it doesnt work that way. comparing yourself to anyone is pointless too because you can never be them but yourself. We all come from different backgrounds and some better than others . Atleast  you sleep in a comfortable bed , recieve a warm plate f food everynight, you may not have expensive clothes but you do not walk around naked. The least you could do is appreciate.

Holies

I never thought i'd say this but frankly part of me misses school. I mean we've been closed for like three full weeks and it feels like three years. I hate not doing anything and the thought of waking up every morning to brush my teeth,take a bath and eat then sleep again is waaay boring. I just wish school would open already. I really don't understand how most people do it.There's a lot of people ,my age and older, that I see in the township that arent even bothered by being at home all their lives. I mean one week is enough for me.

Word

These politicians though.. its funny how they all want to prove themselves when they know election time is around the corner.They all want to prove to us NOW that they are the best and have what it takes to make the South Africa we live in a better place as if that will happen over night. Most people live under distubing situations a lot of school kids go to schools that arent properly built. They should be focusing on that during the 5 years and not the stupid X next to their faces. This gorvernment though. One of my friend told me its the manipulative one that will win, so shout out to the winner!!

THE TRAVELLS

As much as traveling to and from school can be troubling, it can also be hilarious sometimes. Going back home takes a while but I eventually get there. I take the train everyday and everyday there is just something to laugh about. This week the trains haven't been operating like they should . Most of them where delayed and others cancelled. Passengers complained and suddenly gave up. By Wednesday everyone had gotten used to the situation.

I take the first class because of safety regulations and so yesterday some people from the third  class joined in. Now, taking the first class whilst you know you buy the third class ticket every month means you might find yourself getting into big trouble,or maybe have a free good ride, if you lucky. Unfortunately yesterday wasn't a lucky day for this guy that was sitting next to me. So when the security came to check the tickets he remained still knowingly he does not have it. So they literaly faught,and this guy was shouting, "You're abusing me! This is my right! I will get you arrested! How the security handled the guy was wrong ,ii agree but guy asked for it really.

We tend to do things knowing that they are wrong and might get us into trouble but we do it anyways. That is just how we are,no one can change that.

I SAID IT

Mistakes are made for us people to learn from . They have lessons in them that we may not recognise immediately. It doesn't really matter if you are the one doing it or experiencing it, the lesson can be learnt either way.Making mistakes enables us to grow older and wiser too, but that doesn't mean you should do it everyday or doing it your self for you to learn. The person next to you could be your wake up call. I've done a lot of mistakes like everyone else but in everything I do I make sure I take something out of each and every mistake I do, just so I don't make the same mistakes twice.

But what do you do?

Does it have to have a title

Much as it's a pain to travel to and from tech, I must admit it allows me to see so much of the world. The thought of waking up at 5:15 every morning on school days I don't think I will ever get used to though, but we're not there at the moment.

So back to my story about the travels, every morning I get to see so much inspiration on the streets, from the my township right up until I reach the city. There's so much to learn from, one just needs observe and take in all the beauty that surrounds us.

Sometimes I look at the fashionistas and wonder how they put that outfit together. Then there are times I am completely inspired by a 'mama' whom I know in my mind did not put half as much effort in the morning and they just naturally exude style.

For me fashion is about style. One can buy all the clothes in the stores, but without a sense of style, it really is just a hollow frame that has no longevity.

I'll share more about this in a short while, let me go make some brunch for now.
